Wendy Fuster, President What started at a kitchen table has become a trusted compliance partner worldwide, grounded in faith, service and a passion for meaningful work.
In the late 1980s, Wendy Fuster joined her husband Oscar’s growing computer manufacturing firm. At the time, computers were still new to most households and workplaces and the idea that everyone might eventually own one was just beginning to take shape. Wendy, fresh out of the University of Maryland with a degree in Electrical Engineering, was excited to be part of something bold and forward-thinking.
But it didn’t take long to encounter a major setback: product development was moving fast, but regulatory compliance was painfully slow. Promising innovations were delayed for months, stuck in bottlenecks caused by opaque processes and unresponsive labs.
“We were building something new that we believed could change lives,” Wendy recalls. “But we were constantly stopped by systems that didn’t work for the people trying to make progress.”
After one too many products stalled in limbo, Oscar asked a simple but life-changing question, “Why don’t you start your own testing lab?”
That single question, paired with a belief in a better way to support innovation, laid the foundation for what would become F2 Labs, where Wendy now serves as president.
From the start, the mission was clear: serve the innovators who are building a better world. F2 Labs was created to walk alongside manufacturers of all sizes, helping them move products to market with clarity, efficiency and confidence.
A Company Defined by Its Core Values
F2 Labs has come a long way since its early days, but the heart of the company has remained the same. From the beginning, the goal was to serve others well. That commitment was eventually formalized into a few key core values:
• Provide Exceptional Service: Fast answers, hands-on support and a team that genuinely cares.
• Be a Team Player: Real collaboration with clients and a shared mission to get through the compliance process as a team.
• Do the Right Thing: Always act with integrity, no shortcuts.
Sometimes a client doesn’t have enough in-house engineers to manage all the prep work. We stay accessible and practical, advising on what to prioritize, which data matters and where shortcuts cost more than they save. This collaborative mindset helps clients see the process as a shared effort
These values are more than cultural talking points; they define how the company hires, how performance is measured and how decisions are made. Individuals who don’t embody this mindset don’t stay long and that intentionality has helped preserve a strong, values-driven team.
Faith as a Foundation and a Calling
Wendy shares that their Christian faith has always been central in their life and provides constant opportunities for personal growth. Their trust in God’s plan has guided countless decisions, from moments of major risk to quiet daily operations. Faith influences the way the company supports its employees and their families, responds to challenges, treats its customers and defines success.
F2 Labs’ doors are open to clients and employees from all backgrounds. Faith is the Fusters’ personal foundation, not a requirement, but a source of strength that informs the culture of service and the desire to do meaningful work with humility and compassion.
Putting Values into Action

F2 Labs’ commitment to making a difference doesn’t stop with client work. The company dedicates time and resources to causes that reflect its mission, including pro bono testing for products with life-changing potential.
One powerful example is MediCradle, a startup developing affordable infant incubators to be donated to hospitals in underserved countries. When MediCradle needed regulatory support, F2 Labs stepped in without charge, providing the same technical expertise and service it gives its largest clients.
“Being part of something like that reminds us why we do what we do,” says Wendy. “If we can use our capabilities to support a product that will save babies’ lives, there’s no question; we do it. And what is even more encouraging is how enthusiastic our team, from our engineers to our admins to our sales department, has been to put in their own time and effort to help our pro bono clients achieve success.”
Process Backed by Purpose
F2 Labs’ work starts well before any product reaches a chamber or test bench. Many clients know they need compliance approvals, but aren’t sure which standards apply, what documentation regulators expect or how to prepare for questions that can surface months later. F2 Labs’ team takes time upfront to understand every client’s product, markets, technical details and business goals. The comprehensive approach applies across all regulatory pathways, from the U.S. FDA’s 510(k) approval for medical devices, to CE marking for Europe, NRTL marks for North America, SCC marks for Canada or submissions to Australian and Brazilian regulators.
“This involves carefully defining the scope of work to help clients avoid unnecessary testing and ensure no critical requirements are overlooked, saving both time and money.” Over three decades of hands-on experience and a deep library of real-world scenarios give F2 Labs insight that clients can’t find anywhere else.

Once the scope is clear, F2 Labs maps out exactly what the project requires. Drawings, build details, working prototypes and compliance documents are all outlined in detailed checklists. Clients use easy upload tools to keep everything organized. This upfront clarity saves weeks of back-and-forth that often drags down busy engineering teams.
“Sometimes a client doesn’t have enough in-house engineers to manage all the prep work. This collaborative mindset helps clients see the process as a shared effort,” says Wendy.
It’s a mindset that doesn’t stop with clients; it’s woven into the company’s culture.
A Family Company with a Global Impact
F2 Labs operates with a family mindset; three of Wendy’s four children work alongside her. Additionally, the VP of Sales and Marketing is married to the VP of Operations and two of their children have also joined the team. There are other ties and many employees have been with F2 Labs for over a decade or more, building deep connections. Everyone understands what it means to pull together when things get hard and to celebrate wins as a team.
“We’re surrounded by so many blessings,” shares Wendy, “and the F2 family is absolutely one of the biggest.”
“Every hire, every process and every decision comes back to the company’s core values. It is about having the right people working toward the right goals and delivering results that matter. If someone does not reflect that level of service and trust, they do not stay. What remains is a team that stands by each other and by every client who chooses F2 Labs,” Wendy adds.
Clients feel it in every call, report and solution. They see competence backed by genuine care. This culture of family, paired with technical strength, is F2 Labs’ quiet edge in a world where compliance often feels cold and impersonal.
In a field often defined by data and deadlines, F2 Labs brings something more: a culture shaped by faith, values and a genuine desire to help. That combination turns compliance into connection and keeps the mission moving forward.
